What do we do at the Nielsen Clinic?
This is a Natural Family Practice that examines the body as a whole to try to understand what is causing the symptoms you are experiencing. Both doctors were trained in functional neurology and applied kinesiology. Dr. Nielsen was trained under a naturopath and a chiropractic internist. They use a number of techniques and methods to examine and understand the body. The Doctors use muscle testing, neurology exams, emotional testing, and laser treatment (www.softlasertherapy.org), as well as other chiropractic adjustments and treatments. They use a variety of natural supplements to replenish the body. Apex Energetics, Standard Process, and Premier Research Labs are among the top natural supplemental suppliers they recommend.
Where did the doctors go to school?
Dr. Nielsen graduated from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic (LACC) located in Whittier, California. He practiced in Oregon for eight years before relocating to Utah. Dr. Hatch graduated from Life West Chiropractic Collge (LWCC) in Hayward, California.
Do the doctors do standard Chiropractic manipulative treatments?
Yes. Both Dr. Nielsen and Dr. Hatch are trained in Gonstead, Diversified, upper cervical techniques, and extremity adjusting. A spring loaded instrument (SLI) is also available for those who are seeking a lower force technique.
Does the Nielsen Clinic do any imaging? X-rays? etc?
We do not have diagnostic imaging in the office; however, we do request appropriate imaging when indicated. Dr. Nielsen and Dr. Hatch will review and read those images, so if you have them, bring them to your appointment to provide extra insight into your body.
How much does a visit cost?
The initial examination fee is $180 for a one hour consultation with Dr. Nielsen or Dr. Hatch. Thereafter, follow up treatment prices are based upon the scheduled time spent with the doctor. Each 20-minute increment is $80. There is a cost of goods price for all supplements which is separate from the treatment.
